Tracey L. Foster, JD, RPA, RTA, CTA
A graduate of Rice University and South Texas College of Law, Tracey spent the first part of her career as an insurance defense litigator in Houston, Texas. When her daughter was born, she left the practice of law and began serving appraisal districts and cities in Texas as part of the Registered Professional Engineering firm of Hugh L. Landrum & Associates, Inc. As a result, Tracey now joins MVBA as an RPA specializing in pipeline, utility, and oil & gas property appraisals as well as an attorney licensed to practice in both Texas and Federal Courts.
A member of the Order of the Barristers, Tracey is also active in various property tax organizations and is the recipient of some of the industry’s highest awards. Tracey has been awarded the James Goodwin Excellence in Education Award by the Texas Association of Appraisal Districts (TAAD), as well as the Troy Sloan Good Neighbor Award from the Texas Rural Chief Appraiser’s Association (TRCA) and the Marilyn Albert Achievement Award from the Texas Association of Assessing Officers (TAAO). In addition, she has been the recipient of the TAAO’s President’s Award of Appreciation on two different occasions; was chosen as Instructor of the Year twice; and has also been named Certified Tax Administrator of the Year.
Incorporating years of multi-disciplinary government and legal experience, Tracey strives to bring integrity, transparency, and a genuine passion for what she does to bear in finding appraisal and legal solutions for stakeholders in both tax and appraisal matters.
