Monty Smitherman

As the Director of Property Value Study (PVS) Appeals, Monty and his team focus on getting client school districts the school funding they deserve from the Texas Education Agency. This amount is determined yearly by the Texas Comptroller’s property valuation and decision whether to assign that value, the “State value,” or to approve that district’s local Chief Appraiser’s property valuation, the “local” value. The PVS team works to get our districts back to local value to achieve higher school funding.
