M. Elizabeth “Liz” Vaughn joined the firm in 2008 and is the shareholder and managing attorney in our Longview office handling all aspects of delinquent property tax matters. Ms. Elizabeth Vaughn has practiced in this field since 2000 and has experience representing a varied group of taxing entities, large and small, rural and metropolitan. Liz received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 1994. After doing post-baccalaureate work at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, she received a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1999, and simultaneously completed her M.B.A. there. Liz was active in the advocacy competitions while attending Law School and was selected for the St. Mary’s Law School Texas Young Lawyers Association State Moot Court Team. She was also selected by St. Mary’s Law School Faculty to join the Order of the Barristers. Liz is actively involved in the Proud Parent Organization of her son Jackson’s school. In her spare time, Liz enjoys working with animal rescue organizations, reading novels, international travel and recreational sports.
