HARVEY M. ALLEN is the managing shareholder for the delinquent tax collection programs for several of the Firm’s major clients. He has been a member of MVBA since 1981. He is active in all phases of MVBA’s work, including trial and appellate practice involving both collection and appraisal matters. Over the years, Harvey has rendered numerous legal opinions to schools, cities, counties and appraisal districts on property tax matters.
A certified public accountant, Harvey formerly worked on the audit staff of one of the major Certified Public Accounting firms in Houston. While in public accounting, he participated in numerous audit engagements involving Fortune 500 companies.
Harvey attended Baylor University and obtained a B.A. degree in 1975. Harvey entered graduate school and received a Masters in Business Administration degree in 1977. After working in public accounting, he returned to Baylor University School of Law and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1981. Harvey is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice in Federal Courts.
